Incygnes, the Latin word for ‘gem’, perfectly encapsulates the essence of the wines made by Incygnes’ award-winning winemaker Matt O’Leary. The source for these wines is Green’s Vineyard, located in the heart of the iconic Barossa Valley. Sitting east of Tanunda, at the foot of the Barossa ranges, the eclectic mix of soils provides the personality for the wines.
First planted in 1970 to Shiraz and Grenache, the vines of Green’s Vineyard are low yielding and perfect examples of careful nurturing over many years. The resultant wines pay homage to the traditions of the Barossa Valley, but in a modern way.
