The 2019 Mermerus Chardonnay is produced from 100% estate grown, hand-picked fruit and made at the Mermerus winery on the Bellarine Peninsula. The wine displays lifted floral aromatics, with attractive primary fruit flavours of citrus, complemented by subtle notes of white peach and nectarine. Partial malolactic fermentation, wild yeast fermentation and extended lees contact in barrel have added texture and complexity. This is all complemented by the subtle use of oak.
